It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby House announce her passing on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Reverend Edward House; daughters: Deborah Davis (Barry), Bolton, ON and Laura Park (Ernest), Gillams; most precious and beloved grandchildren: Zane Davis and Amy Park; brother: David Wells (Margaret), Summerside ; sister: Regina Kennedy, Grande Cache, AB; brothers-in-law: Luke House (Joan), Kippens, Alex House (Lorraine), Gillams; sister-in-law: Ada Blanchard, Meadows; special extended family: Mabel Ellsworth (Aubrey), Hughes Brook, Jessie Anderson, Englee and Hollis Wheeler, Summerside; as well as a large circle of family and friends including the residents and staff of Mountainview Home in Meadows. Ruby was a woman with great inner strength and touched many lives. She had worked as a teacher and as Provincial coordinator of Adoptions , but her greatest work was being a mother and grandmother. At Ruby’s request, cremation has taken place . Visitation will take place at St. James Anglican Church, Gillams on Tuesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 10 :a.m. to 11: a.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church or to the charity of ones choice.
