<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with a heavy heart that the family of the late <strong>John Edward Nugent</strong> announce his passing on March 4, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John&rsquo;s at the age of 69 years. He is mourned by his dedicated and loving wife Helen (MacLeod); one son Gregory (Judith); one daughter Janice (David) Bugden; five precious grandchildren Ryan, Ella, Ethan, Mila, and Miri; sisters: Patricia (Paul) Facey, Barbara (Harold) Hefferton, Sandra Cole, nieces: Tina, Mary Beth, nephew Stephen as well as other nieces &amp; nephews, relatives and friends; brother&rsquo;s in-law: Wayne (Marilyn) MacLeod, Sheldon (Isabel) MacLeod, Edgar (Barb) Macleod; and special uncle Bill Crane. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Mary Nugent. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">John had a long career as an industrial salesman in Corner Brook, and was an avid salmon angler, car enthusiast and outdoorsman for most of his life. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Renal Dialysis Unit of Western Memorial for the exceptional care that John received during his treatments. As well, the family would like to thank Dr. Steve Murphy for his expertise and concern and to Dr. Fudge for her compassion. Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 8 from 2-4 pm &amp; 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at All Hallows Parish on Thursday, March 9 at 1:00 PM with Father Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation.</span></p>
